Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jun 11, 2012 4:50 pm Hi all, I am newbie to landscaping etc to pls bear with me if my questions are a bit naive. We've just finished building in Sydney metro and have got some quotes for retaining wall and landscaping. Since our block is slightly sloping (from right gently down to left if looking facing the front) we'd like to level the back and side yards. This requires some excavation and leveling of approx 170 sqm of land, filling in and turfing. Since we are below our RHS neighbour and above our LHS neighbour we estimate that we'd require approx 50 sqm of retaining walls as well. One quote we've got is $13000+GST just for the retaining wall built from interlocking concrete blocks incl. the drainage. And $7000+GST for the landscaping (excavation, tipping, filling, turfing and a small bit of fencing). Was hoping to get opinion from others on how does this quote sound? Any feedback/tips would be greatly appreciated.
