Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Nov 07, 2011 9:36 pm Hey Everyone, Have been a long time reader here while renovating our first home that we purchased December last year, we went into a bit of hibernation over winter but are back into it full swing and tackling the back yard. Our block is around 900sqm, rectangle and slightly sloped and it was in a very (read VERY, VERY) bad shape when we got it with extensive landscaping getting out of control over the last 10 years as a rental property. We have had to remove alot of the existing trees and plants as they were un manageable and not very well planned. I am hoping to document the things we do here and to get advice on how we should do things to keep it reasonably low maintenance and looking good year round. We are in the process of organising turf (EZ as per Fu's preference), a garden shed, sprinkler system, veggie patch and much more so stay tuned. Here is a pic I have of it now, I also will dig some older ones out with the lack of fence and overgrown mess that it was. We will be scraping the yard to level it out and remove some of the old weeds so we will put all that old dirt in here too. We are unsure if we will put a deck on top of this or not as it is a great area to relax on a summers day.
