Is there a "pigme" or "shetland" variety?
One that would max out between .5 - 1m?

Some people don't have time to do the job right the first time, but seem to have plenty of time to fix their mistakes. Good flower show after 3-5 years Can't give 'em away in nurseries, but as soon as they flower they will walk off shelves in garden centres. Re: Yucca Elephantipes 23Apr 01, 2010 12:51 am Yucca Spanish bayonet and Yucca Blue sentry are great small yuccas to use also Re: Yucca Elephantipes 24May 03, 2019 5:07 pm We just purchased a home built in the late 60's with Yucca Elephantipes planted everywhere! They are very tall & striking... but they were planted too close to the home's foundation and the roots have taken over piping. We found a tree root growing inside a bath pipe (4" diameter). We had a gardner chop up several bunches, but I feel the tree root ball needs to be removed. I don't know anything about landscaping-- curious if anyone has removed Yucca's this big @ 50 years old? Re: Yucca Elephantipes 25Jun 21, 2019 10:46 am I still get nightmares re our yukka, ie over 4m tall, roots are very extensive...suggest removing every bit of dirt near fenceline...God knows why anyone would plant these hideous plants...recip saw 'll be blunt cause of sap in tree...poison , remove and keep going be sure to wear gloves... |
