I have recently planted a line of lilly pilly plants from pots. The plan is to grow them to maximum height and width.
When should I first trim or prune them?
And if now, what should I cut?

Each month for the first 6 months, spray some confidor as young LPs get hammered by psyllid. If you have two very specific cultivars, this isn't necessary. Also it helps the LPs if you coddle them with seasol and powerfeed. Best to give them the best start you can. Btw. Keep your thrive for potted colour and buy any seaweed organic concentrate you can find, along with a bulk molasses tub and that's all you'll ever need to give to your garden. The pruning just needs to be enough to keep the vertical growth from tipping over. The same can be said on the whole shrub too, as lateral growth will also drag these branches down to the ground.
