A good liquid fertiliser that is high in these should correct it. They also love lots of water. I can't help with the tomatoes sorry. Stewie Re: whats wrong with my tomatoes and lemon tree 3Jan 23, 2014 8:37 am Hey stewie thanks for you help. At this time I didnt recieve any comments. Given you suggest there were two issues (with low mag and Iron) and i didnt know which one it was so i added both, does this strongly indicate the soil ph was th eliekly problem. Re: whats wrong with my tomatoes and lemon tree 4Jan 23, 2014 9:23 am Agree with SD - but also - we found having the lemon tree a bit higher - ie in a mound if you have a garden bed that higher. They like good drainage IMO. Re: whats wrong with my tomatoes and lemon tree 5Jan 24, 2014 9:54 am I think the alkaline soil inhibits the uptake of those two trace elements so by raising the ph will help. Of course adding iron and/or magnesium will assist it quicker I'd imagine. I agree SM, good well draining soil is essential. If not you can tend to get some of the fungal problems that seem to plague the citrus family.
