Best money you will ever spend!! Re: Let the transformation begin! DAY 1 DONE! 31Feb 17, 2010 9:31 pm Just thinking, we should have a sticky thread for people to post a link to their landscape projects. We have home building threads, why not my landscaping threads. I love before and after photos! I make my personal training clients do them for their body "renovations". They hate doing the befores, but love comparing them with the afters. Re: Let the transformation begin! DAY 1 DONE! 34Feb 18, 2010 4:17 pm Day 2: The boys worked all day today getting the concrete down, plus digging post holes for our feature screen. They also did some digging and marking out for the pavers that are going along the back of the house. I probably should have waited for the sun to move around behind the house before taking this; it's a bit contrasty. The area looks so much bigger now that we have one level though: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We've left room for a garden bed outside the dining area window. Hmm, what to plant....? I have to pick a render colour for the front of the planter (the top will be bullnosed sandstone to match the pavers) and the centre panel of our three-part screen (the side sections are merbau). I'm leaning towards a neutral colour, because we still haven't decided whether we'll go for large format tiles, mosaics, stackstone or some other material for the main feature. Or just plonk an urn or statue or a water feature there. I figure I can always paint over it if I hate it anyway. Re: Let the transformation begin! TWO DAYS DOWN (LOTS TO GO) 35Feb 19, 2010 7:52 am Interesting thread! I'll post here so it will be easier to find. Must be very exciting. Re: Let the transformation begin! The boys will be back on Monday to fix the merbau slats to the screen and start laying pavers. Yay!
