Anyone tiled over glass splashback before?
Planning on using mosaic diamond tiles over the existing colourback in my kitchen. I'm not keen on ripping out the splashback prior to tiling up. Just want to tile over the top.
I was thinking about giving it a good clean first, metho wipe down, possibly sanding the colourback to rough it up and give it a good coat of this;

Then tile over the top.
Anyone got any other tips for me?

just pull up the slate. If you go over the top, your tiles would not have an even surface to be glued to. Im no tiler, but i can imagine a couple of things being an issue…

Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering. Builder is quoting 2500$ laying cost for upto 10msq. The 2 pillars come to be 16msq. So laying costs are 5000$…
