Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Oct 01, 2008 5:34 pm we are thinking of doing a bit of a facelift on the exterior of our house, dark brown brick with goldish highlights, similar concrete roof, we had a quote to restore the roof (it needs it!), the color we chose was merino, dulux acra tex, does anyone know of a website where you could look at the different color roof with the bricks, tried midland brick but couldn't find the brick, maybe after 25 years they don't make them anymore
also has anyone had the old mission brown window frames rejuvenated, we're going to look at the cost of replacing them but if it's prohibitive were going to get a quote on having them recolored, we saw a display at the home ideas centre and it looked pretty good, wondered how long it would last. any info. greatly appreciated Re: roof and window restorations-perth 2Oct 02, 2008 9:56 pm Sorry no answere here re the change of anodized alluminium which I think is what you are asking.
re the bricks, take a phot and use something like paintshop pro to change the colours of the roof etc of the house. Buy a highpressure cleaner or hire one. get a bucket of flexible capping cement. repoint the capping, high pressure clean the roof and paint on the new paint with preferably an airless sprayer Re: roof and window restorations-perth 6Jan 16, 2009 3:39 pm had both jobs done, used permacoat for the roof, great job, manor for windows, another great job, look like brand new, cost about 25% of replacing the windows, but don't have to have any interiors replastered I have been looking into getting quotes for a reno I am doing shortly.
