Hi, I'm needing some help with an outdoor pole. I have an outdoor steel sign that is showing surface rust. I'm just wondering the best way to go about it? I asked one of the guys at bunnings but I just wanted to check with the group to see if it's the best method. Ideally I would like to avoid the orbital sander. I've got a few pictures of the pole here. https://imgur.com/a/An57Se6
He's suggested the following.
1. Orbital Sander with a grit of 80
2. Rust-Reformer on affected areas
3. 1 layer Steel Primer on the entire pole - 1-2 cans?
4. 2 layers of spray Paint the pole with a steel spraypaint colour - 3-4cans?
