Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 May 16, 2020 5:50 pm Hi all, I have a gap between the skirting board and carpetted floor which I suspect is the result of movement of the house. Judging from the rest of the house, the skirting used to meet the floor, and carpet was laid up against it. I'm estimating 20mm between the board and the solid floor. I don't think caulking will work unless I tear up the carpet, which I'm not keen on doing. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to fill this gap? PS.
