Aluminium windows

Hi all
Recently had new aluminium windows installed
There was a big storm last week and I noticed water was in track
Spoke to company who stated there are gaps at end of tracks so water to get out
Now my previous windows never had this (mind you they were from 1970s)
I just don’t understand whether this is the norm?
I hope that picture is rotated the wrong way, and we are looking at the bottom and not the top.

Yes that’s the bottom
Yes this is normal for new aluminium windows.

It runs under the channel and there should be a couple of vents on the outside too.

It allows condensation to run down the window and out side if required

I don't know them all, the first 2 top of your list are best known. Rylock is a good company, Stegbar is for sale.
