I have a 5 year old home. It has a water tank that feeds the toilets and some of the outdoor taps. Today my toilets have stopped filling and outdoor taps get a very low trickle of water. All other water in the house seems fine. About 6 months ago I turned the fuse for the water pump for the tank off as it was continually tripping the circuit and I had never got around to having it looked at or replaced, when the water tank is empty or the pump is not working I'm lead to believe it switches over to mains automatically, there's only one valve in the pump box for on/off, I tried to turn this off and it did nothing, why is the water to my toilets not working all of a sudden?
Any plumbers out there might give me an idea what is going on?

I believe it is at least 1.5m, but I don't have a standard to reference for this. It has to do with the distance between water, electrical and gas connection…
