Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Jul 05, 2019 2:30 pm hey guys, not sure if this should be in here or in windows and doors section I am wanting to convert the below window to a door. our home is on bearers and joist and is bricked on the outside. the window is roughly a full sized door. so i could get custom door frame and door made up. the bricks on the outside come up to the same height as the bottom of the window frame so they will need to be cut down. then put a threshold/subsill type door frame in. with the framing, is there any differences in studs and noggins etc when comparing windows to doors. and would i need to put in more framing?
