Anyway where the aircon used to be, he plugged the hole with a rectangular wood. BUT it is not properly aligned to the wall. Thus, at certain angle, you can see a shallow depression. It is probably 2 to 3mm depth at the lowest point. I thought of filling it (using light filler) but I'm not sure if this is the best way to go? Any thoughts? Thank you very much Re: tips on filling a shallow rectangular depression in the wall 5Sep 21, 2008 8:19 pm I'm not a pro but have done a fair bit fo plastering in the last few months.
Is the wall solid. ie NO movement at all in that section? If so then you could just plaster it. but you will need to do lots of coats to ensure it does not run or crack as it dries. Best method is to rip that bit out and redo it properly, but if it is solid, you cna get away with it. Is it cost effective to keep plastering all over it. Not really IMO.
