Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Feb 08, 2019 5:05 pm Hello Since my house was built in 2010 I must have had a water leak problem between the shower and the bedroom wall. Wall is a single utility brick with plaster over it on the bedroom side and tiles on wall and floor on the bathroom side with a shower on the same wall. It must have leaked for years - tiler did not put silicon over the joint, but I did not notice it first and then had water damage in the other part of the house, so thought floorboard issues were related to that. Anyway, recently called the builder and had the shower "resealed" - they just put silicone on all the joints. But on the bedroom facing wall paint bubbled up and peeled off with bits of plaster. It only did it at around 10-20 cm from the floor Now, can someone please suggest a way to check that I no longer have a leak from the shower? I have IR camera but on that spot that peeled off I do not see any temperature difference. Will a moister meeter be of any use? How to "leek doctors" find leaky showers? I know that the best thing would be to retile with a proper water seal, but don't have that much cash I can spend on it at the moment. DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Hi, I've got a brand new (2nd hand) Bosch Hydropower 16H tankless hot water heater. Since it was installed I have noticed it leaks a lot. I took the cover off and it looks… 0 24147 It seems very clear to me that your contract states that a security account does NOT need to be established so the answer to the builder is NO. If in doubt find a contract… 1 8505 2 31344 |
