Any one have any ideas what it could be and why it would be in my roof?
That’s the pipe used to re-inflate the house if you spring a leak or the pressure drops
I don’t know for certain, but it looks like it might have to do with gas. It might be in the roof as an option to supply a future central ducted heater or instant hot water heater.

Apparently yes. Non compliant according to plumber .It breaks easily. I have it connected to all my drainpipes. Except for one as plumber replaced it with proper connections
