Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Jul 08, 2018 7:19 pm Hello, I was inspecting an apartment close to the sea which I've fallen for, but saw some apparent rust marks on the ceiling metal trellis feature to the balcony. Took a photo of it - hoping to figure out if it's caused by long-term water leakage from pipes above the feature, or if the previous owner had (unintentionally) sprayed the ceiling with some corrosive liquid, or if it's just general poor quality of the feature rusting from the higher salt content in the air (being close to the sea). The marks appear quite randomly placed so it made me think it's not water leakage - but any thoughts? Thank you!
