We have bought a Woolstore apartment in Teneriffe (Brisbane) and will be renovating it.
For those unfamiliar, the woolstores are early 1900's riverside industrial buildings that were converted into apartments in the late 1990s.
Ours is a 2 storey apartment on the top floor so we have a lot of big exposed timber beams and steel bracing & bracketry.
At the moment it is all painted white. I want to strip the timber back to bare timber and paint the steel black.
I was wondering what the easiest way to get the paint off is? I was thinking maybe wire brush attachment in a drill? I don't mind the idea of a rough surface finish to keep the industrial look.
I wasn't intending to clear coat or stain the timber unless it is advisable to do so for timber health long term.
Thanks in advance!
