Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Aug 22, 2016 8:23 pm I have an expansion joint in my property that extends to the garage directly underground. Above ground the joint is covered by tiles but the grouting has worn away exposing and eroding the concrete. In the garage underground there is leaking in corner during rain and is visible spalling and deep cracks in the concrete along the joint. Interested to know how severe this is and what can I do about it. The joint straddles mine and neighbours property but neighbour is in cooperative. We are improving drainage on the property and waterproofing the tiles. To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 7389 Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 9077 |
