Re: Deck Footing Anchors 2Mar 31, 2016 8:51 am Personally I wouldn't trust anything like that but I am an old school builder. Most of the decks and house foundations we did were concrete footings and brick piers although these days a lot are small concrete pad and a stirrup or gal post like a Unipier http://www.unipier.com.au/ or a duragal post http://www.google.com.au/url?q=http://w ... kMPpJkgRaA Stewie Re: Deck Footing Anchors 3Mar 31, 2016 4:54 pm Stewie D Personally I wouldn't trust anything like that but I am an old school builder. Doesn't matter if it's built by a rank amateur or a seasoned pro. It should be still be built right. I just think that they are a cheap option. Not better , just cheap. Stewie yep sounds good make the footing bigger to to allow for the pipe in the middle 3 7326 PM me your email. I have a build excavation calculator you can use based on your plans to double check what your builder is telling you. Cheers Simeon 1 10247 I've dug some footings to embed a post anchor into. My holes are around 450mm deep which I'll put a 200mm stirrup into. The bottom of these holes seem firm enough. … 0 3326 |
