Deck Footing Anchors

Does anyone know a product similar to Titan's product found here

Deck will sit rough 600mm from the ground seems like a good solution for some of the tighter spaces I have to work with and easier to drill into the ground because of the hard clay.
Personally I wouldn't trust anything like that but I am an old school builder.
Most of the decks and house foundations we did were concrete footings and brick piers although these days a lot are small concrete pad and a stirrup or gal post like a Unipier http://www.unipier.com.au/ or a duragal post http://www.google.com.au/url?q=http://w ... kMPpJkgRaA

Thanks for the products. Not that I'm going to scrimp out but these options seem a bit overkill for a DIY application.

Its a timber deck. Doesn't matter if it's built by a rank amateur or a seasoned pro. It should be still be built right.
I just think that they are a cheap option. Not better , just cheap.
