Re: Damaged 25 MM PVC Retic Pipe 6Dec 08, 2015 2:40 am If you want to repair it rather than cap it, you simply get a short off cut of 25mm pressure pipe say about 45mm - 50mm long, cleanly split it length ways, remove a small section of the pipe and then file the two side until they fit neatly together when squeezed. Once you have it so that it fits tightly inside the pipe, solvent glue the sleeve to itself and to the standing pipe 1/2 way into the standing pipe. You then solvent glue another 25mm PVCu standing pipe over the exposed sleeve as well as solvent welding the two outer pipes together. If the fitting is very tight, it can be best to wait a day after the first insertion. If the sleeve is left exposed for a day, you should clamp the exposed half together to ensure that it doesn't 'spring' instead of solvent welding. It is very important that the two outer pipes come together as a neat fit. It is also beneficial to bevel the sleeve's inside edge at both ends. 3in1 Supadiverta.
