Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Nov 29, 2015 11:46 am Hi all, about to start on the kitchen reno, where the freestanding electric cooker was I plan to install a built-in oven and hob but with just the cable coming out of the wall which previously connected to the cooker, I'm not sure what the options are, can I use this to power both the oven and electric hob ? It's on a 30/45amp double pole wall switch currently or do I have to have a separate supply for the oven and another for the electric hob ? Running another circuit from the fuse board is not an option as my fuse board is on my neighbours wall (town house) so that would mean going though my neighbours house which I'm guessing would be massively expensive. There are under the sink a couple of outlets one marked waste disposal and another unmarked outlet( which I plan to use for the dishwasher) both can be isolated from a wall mounted switch above the sink, could the waste disposal outlet be repurposed for the hob ? Thanks for looking and any replies Re: Free standing cooker to built in oven & hob 2Nov 29, 2015 1:40 pm Info from forums like this should be taken with a grain of salt unless the person replying is a licensed sparky and even then use with caution. You really need one to come out and have a look at your switchboard, wiring and loading to give you informed advice. Stewie Hello I'm remodeling my kitchen and evaluating ideas.
