I believe there is a Crack between the terrazzo floor and tiled wall that needs repairing. Big question is, has anyone had this problem and how did they go about fixing it. Re: Leaking shower 2Sep 22, 2015 6:57 pm time for a retile and a new shower recess. Get a tiled to source you some tiles that will either match, or look ok with everything else. Re: Leaking shower 3Dec 30, 2015 5:05 pm Hi Wanbrow01, Nearly everyone who has owned a house more than 20 years has had a leaking shower, as I expect have most new home owners with houses over 5 years old, because they are not doing them properly. So take that on board before you ask someone to repair the shower (rebuilder86 may well be correct that a re-do is in order, particularly if the shower floor is in fact terrazzo?) Or if you are particularly lucky... and have a polymarble or even concrete shower base THAT IS NOT CRACKED, it can be the junction joints between shower base and wall tiles that have failed (or the corner joints sometimes). What might work is to score the wall tiles 3mm up from the base and grind through (just) the tiles (lots of care necessary to do this very fiddly job). Then solvent clean the joint and wait till bone dry and then fill with silicone flush. Good luck!
