But the water is going so slow, the basement is always so wet. I want to fix this, but not sure what kind of handyman should I go to. Plumber? or a Builder? Divert some downpipes to a tank, and then you can dispose of that water at a later time, and further down the slope away from your house. Even if you simply use the water to drain somewhere else over a few days via a strategically located garden hose, the water isn't pooling up next to your house.
