I have seen this type of claim by cleaners with "chemical free cleaning " plastered all over thier vans , yet when you look in side there are boxes of chemcials all over the place.
One said to me once. "They are not chemicals they are all biodegradable." Water is a chemcial. H2O. We are made of chemicals. Even the air we breathe is a chemical. There is so much rubbish advertised out there about chemicals. The claim that one can disinfect a home without chemicals is rediculous. The very term "disinfect" requires a measurable standard. eg 99.99% of bacteria kill . This does not include spore forms of microorganisms that can survive disinfection. I teach cleaning in healthcare facilities as part of my occupation and we teach cleaning rather than disinfection . The only things we will disinfect are food preparation surfaces. All the rest is just cleaned. No dirt and there is no reson for bacteria to be there. While some surfaces do respond well to microfibre which reduces the need for cleaning chemicals. It is a pretty wild claim that no chemicals are used. Thermal disinection is the only chemical free method of disinfection. But many building materials and furnishings are damaged by the level of heat required for thermal disinfection. If someone is suffering from Asthma it is usually dust mite that are the cause. Dust mite live of our shed skin cells. This human dander floats about the house and collects on horrizontal surfaces. When they are left uncleaned the dust mite have time to breed and eat the shed skin. We are usually allergic to the keratin protein left behind by the dust mite in their feaces. Clean the home well and frequently and there is less bacteria and dust and therefore less dustmite. Use cleaning detergents by all means as they help remove the soils that make the dust stick to the surfaces. cheers Col Nation For information on caring for wool and other carpet and upholstery go to www.woolsafe.com.au Hello everyone, I have a question regarding moving a chandelier after it has been mounted.
