Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Jun 19, 2015 11:39 am Hi guys, We are currently constructing our new home and we are getting a 900mm freestanding oven/cooker in builder's inclusions. Unfortunately I missed looking through what we are getting and when came to know just asked them to change but they won't do it as contract already been signed. What my concern is,whether is it possible to transform the benchtop according to built-in oven after moving in?. We are building in Melbourne. Can anyone help me with the problem? Re: Changing from freestanding oven to built-in 2Jun 19, 2015 12:41 pm anythign is possible. First action is to find out who is making the benchtop. What sort of benchtop? will kitchen have kicker panels? Re: Changing from freestanding oven to built-in 3Jun 19, 2015 1:11 pm Rebuilder86 thanks for the reply ...we are having a caeserstone benchtop...though not sure who is making, have to check out with builder..and yes it does have kicker panels. Is this a costly affair?because I am quite interested in getting it done immediately after moving in and may ask builder not to install the freestanding one and if possible swap it with built-in from the same supplier if possible. My daughter and son in law are about to start building, they are having a 600mm induction cook top and 900mm oven.
