Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 May 25, 2015 11:55 am We have six concrete pillars holding up the first floor deck of our Redland Bay Qld home and only one of them is covered in unsightly bluey black mostly circular stains. I have tried bleach and other stain removers to no avail and have painted over them half a dozen times. They just come back again within days. Sometimes efflorescence can come through black. Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering. Builder is quoting 2500$ laying cost for upto 10msq. The 2 pillars come to be 16msq. So laying costs are 5000$… 0 8627 get them to replace the chipped tiles. It will stick out like a sore thumb overwise. Also tiler will be siliconing the miters rather than grouting.
