Hi All,
I built a new house 2 years ago. I have a toilet in the ensuite and one in the bathroom.
Both toilets are connected to the water tank / pump (which reverts over to mains water when empty).
The problem:
When I go to flush the toilet in the ensute, I have to flush 2-3 sometimes 4 times for the toilet paper to go down (it just floats).
The toilet in the other bathroom seems a little better (but I still have to flush it twice on occasions). Both toilets are the same.
I got a plumber to come out and have a look. He checked the water level and made sure the 'tap' under the toilet was on properly. He couldn't work out what was causing the problem. He suggested it might be a 'design problem' with the toilet, he seemed to think there was more water 'coming out the back' of the toilet then the front. I tend to disagree because I have the exact same toilet at the other side of the house - and like I said, it works much better (but isn't perfect).
Possibly related issue: - The Water Tank.
The pump on my water tank is crap. I get incredibly bad water pressure on my outside tap / hose (connected to the tank).
The plumber measured the water pressure at ... 250HPA? (sorry if that's the wrong measurement). He also measured the 'mains water' which routes through the plumbing of the tank at 220HPA, however, the actual 'MAINS' is fine - I got the water company to test it.
So, my question is this:
Could the crap water pressure from my tank impact the toilet? (the toilet 'fills' fairly quickly) so I would be inclined to think it might be ... the plastic holes in the toilet that the water comes out of? - does anyone know a good way to check / clean these?
Any other ideas ????
Thanks
Luke.
