it's about 19cm x 12cm, and the carpet's run-of-the-mill, nothing special bout it. death is but the next great adventure. Re: iron burn on carpet 2Jun 17, 2008 5:20 pm Hi there flag!
I presume its a synthetic carpet. Is there a spare piece of the same carpet somewhere that may be used as a donor piece? If so, a professional bonded insert may be the way to go. A good technician can often repair the carpet this way, with excellent results, and would probably cost around $100 as a ball-park figure. If no donor carpet is available, replacing the carpet is the only remedy, or you might be able to cover it with furniture or a rug. Let me know if you need a tech in your area. Ash. Re: iron burn on carpet 3Jun 19, 2008 8:30 pm hi royalblue thanks a lot for replying to me
yes, i think it is synthetic carpet. i still have to check if there is any spare carpet to replace the burnt part though. and yes, i'm going to need a tech. i posted the same job on ServiceCentral and they rang me up only to say they can't help me... at this point, i am desperate. thanks again! death is but the next great adventure. Have the same problem and worse still it is a rental. I am not a brick expert, but rendering would be 1 option, it would be costly to do the entire house though.... 2 6683 We have a Victorian style ripple iron fence out the front that has some moulded timber capping. Probably 15+ years old and has cracked and splintered in parts...not really… 0 2495 1 11011 |
