Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Jan 14, 2015 1:24 pm Just bought an A-frame house and there is a section of guttering attached to angled rafter tails on one side. They are attached using brackets screwed directly into the rafters so the guttering hangs at approx 45 degree angle, resulting in poor water flow to the downpipes and some water flowing from roof over the top of the gutter in heavy rain. My last resort is to cut triangular timber blocks and screw them into the rafters to provide a straight surface for the brackets, but this would take a while to do 11 blocks. I've seen pre-fab aluminium gutter wedges online but only available in US or UK. Does anyone know of an Aussie, pref Qld distributor? The tails aren't plumb unfortunately, they are at about 40 degree angle towards house. The gutters catch most of the water but during heavy rain water can flow straight over the gutters.
