We need to have 1.8m high timber lapped and capped fencing in our area and my wife is keen to paint them.
We'll have roughly about 100m of fencing though so I'm not too thrilled about the thought of it. I've been told that the best method is just to spray it to save a lot of time but I have never done this before so am after any advice but particularly some help with my three concerns below:
1. Apparently a lot of the paint ends up getting blown away and as the walls of our house will only be 1.5m from the fence in some areas will I have to cover these to stop paint getting on the bricks or if some does get on can it just be easily cleaned with a pressure hose?
2. Towards the ends I understand you still have to hand paint these to avoid the overspray going on our neighbours driveway etc - I'm guessing the spray is a light cover of paint and the brush will be heavier, are the inconsistancies between sprayed and brush noticable?
3. To avoid the two problems above I could just do the yard and leave the sides but is this going to look odd?
Thanks
