I had it inspected and he thinks water is leaking through the crack, getting under the roof tiles and traveling down the sarking where it's causing water damage to the soffit. It has been siliconed up prior to me but is leaking again. Would it work from the underside of the existing flashing? Is there another way to fix the leak? Is there a tape I can use? Thanks. Re: Leaking/torn Lead flashing 2Apr 05, 2014 8:27 pm Hi TOL, just looking at pic above, for water to get to the sarking it would have to spill over the top edge of that tile which i think would be pretty obvious or theres a cracked tile under the lead. Did the person inspecting kick any tiles off above the soffit where the water damage is? this would give a clear indication if the water was coming down the sarking.
