I will probably go with modwood for my vertical screens. But then they wont be getting scratched by furniture etc. Hard to see from my pics but my board does have a ribbed profile. My kid rides his bike and it gets a few marks on it but they usually come off with a pressure clean. You can lightly sand the material as well. 100% agree with you on the look.... I much prefer a gorgeous aussie hardwood deck. But I am busy and a lazy bugger..... the composites are just much easier to look after. Its a matter of your priorities.
