Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Jun 15, 2013 2:29 pm We have a Rheem Stellar gas hot water service. From the day we moved in the hot water temp has never been great ~43 degrees C. We brought this up with our "builder" at handover and 6 month maintenance and got fobbed off with a story about how they weren't allowed to adjust the service to give a higher temp. It's already set to max on the gas burner. Anyone got any ideas of how to get a higher temp say 50 degrees C? Re: Hot water not hot 2Jun 15, 2013 6:24 pm Sounds like your tempering valve does needs adjusting up. A properly working one can be adjusted up to the 50 - 58 max - depending on which brand it is. We had our plumber adjust ours up to its 55 degree max.
