Just head to stratco & order some flasing in your desired colourbond colour. I did i to my old shed & it came up a treat. Just because it had reno work done in 1995 doesn't mean they replaced it - looks like all it had was a dulux reno (coat of paint) and could quite easily be asbestos based. Personally, I'd put colourbond flashing over the top & not disturb it any more than it already has. We have a Victorian style ripple iron fence out the front that has some moulded timber capping.
