Installing a window type air con

Hi Experts

I live in a renting hosue, its external wall has this type of covering , please see the snapshot below.

Tried to install a windows type AC by using stayed brackets same to the below :

before drilling I tried to use 77-115 -Stanley® Stud Sensor 150, to locate the right place where I use wood screw.

But couldn't locate the right location.

Any advise what should I do to install the AC ?

How to remove ceiling air con vent?

How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity?
