I have an aluminium security door at the front of my house, which i've reseated the hinges on a few times to stop it sticking in the summer weather....after a while I worked out the problem is not the door, but the metal that's been put on the floor under the door. When the sun hits the metal, it expands, and the door starts sticking. Badly.
I have no room at the top of the door to move it up, so i'm thinking i might just grind away some of the bottom of the security door to fix the problem. Would only need to be a couple of mm to fix the issue. Can anyone suggest the best tool for the job? An angle grinder with a metal cutting wheel perhaps?
