The wall is original brick not a new wall. Hope someone can advise me. Thanks Dave Ply Lining Bulkheads Window Grilles Roof Bars Roof Vents Van Racking Commercial Vehicle Accessories Re: Drylining a wall? 2Apr 10, 2008 8:12 am I take it you mean plaster lining?
It's really simple to hang the sheets. With brick you can just use adhesive, or have the option of using some concrete nails as additional holding. The hardest part of lining is the finishing, and getting it to look good in a short period of time. The professionals are quick and efficient! Electrical Engineer... Don't hold that against me... And keen owner builder... Mainly the building part!! Re: Drylining a wall? 3Apr 10, 2008 7:13 pm if the brick wall is facing the outside you really need a moisture barrier between the bricks and gyprock. IMO I think you would be best fixing s moisture barrier and then either batten or build a stud wall to fix the sheets to. Concrete nails are not suitable for this application at all. Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that. Have a good day 4 5099 I am saying that double brick has similar thermal performance due to thermal mass effect. It will be still very interesting to see the state of your framing after 10-15… 10 29659 Thanks for the insights, that makes perfect sense, and yeah, I will be leaning on the experience of the excavator operator entirely. 6 16047 |
