Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Jan 19, 2012 8:04 pm Hi, I just moved into a newly built house and the termite protection was done by Termguard, The documentation states that all inspection andtop up will need to be done by Termguard to maintain the warranty. However I heard that they are charging twice as much as what others charge. Is it really worthwhile going with them or going with any other cheaper one will be sufficient? Re: Termguard or other termite company? 2Jan 23, 2012 1:04 pm hi there, I have just posted a similar question today. Im going to call around now and will report back. Im sure its ilegal/anti-competative and would not be allowed by the ACCC. I was told as long as the other company has a termguard licence it will still be covered under warranty. Mmm.. sounds like it should be a termite licence as they may have the patent for the termguard licence..
