I have had a couple of bits of advice; 1. jack them up again and re-strut them - but this is aged hardwood which doesnt take kindly to bending back the other way 9not to mention the strain on either end nails. 2. Bolt a new 'straight' bit of timber along the side of the old rafter which in turn will lift all the battens up to level - I like this idea as the old rafters will take the strain and have sagged as much as they will 3. Replace whole rafter - I dont like this one for obvious reasons. Any suggestions appreciated. Hi, we live in an area where the black soil is prone to a lot of movement.
