Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Jan 23, 2011 8:51 am My neighbour has a gumtree/eucalypt that just drops leaves constantly. It's bloody annoying and despite him admitting that he'd be happy for it to go, won't even let me remove it (The cost would pay for itself in the long run!). Addtionally come autumn, his elm's drop all the leaves and add MORE mess. It's annoying as my driveway, garage and courtyard end up filled with leaves. I've had enough of sweeping them up every week for an hour or more, then doing the gutters every few months. Are there any decent blower/vacs on the market that would be suitable for use just to suck up all the junk? If it had some sort of attachment or was lightweight enough to do gutters as well that'd be handy. I could blow them back to his house, but I've never understood the people that use blowers to move crap from A to B. I looked in bunnings but they're all the same to me, if a $60 one works for 2yrs then fine, but you can't exactly buy and try then take it back. Re: Which blower/vac to buy? (Need vac for endless leaf drop 5Feb 05, 2011 2:24 pm i have got a victa vac 500. works good for cleaning the patio. depending on how big your leaves are it may have trouble sucking them up if they go flat accross the bottom. but all i do is just push the leaves in if this does happen. yes they are noisy so hearing protection would be the go and the neighbour might get the hint and cut the tree down if you are out there bright and early every weekend sucking up the leaves. i have seen these for sale at bunnings but i got mine from a local mower shop many years before bunnings. our vac would have to be 10 plus years old and still going strong. and know i don't work at bunnings Hello everyone, After some suggestions and ideas about how to put a concrete path around the drop edge beam area on our new build.
