Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Dec 31, 2010 8:57 pm Hi I have just serviced the quietflush inlet valve I.e. replaced parts and cleaned according to troubleshooting, but having problems as the inlet valve is allowing water to fill up past the waterlevel and overflow. Anyone else have this problem? And any possible solutions apart from get a plumber in or replace the whole valve? Thank you Wade Re: caroma quietflush inlet valve problems 2Jan 02, 2011 1:52 pm was it leaking to start with? if not don't fix if its not broken.. BUT since you have a leak it will mean you have not put it back right or a seal is not sitting right. I myself would just replace it. Re: caroma quietflush inlet valve problems 3Jan 24, 2011 10:22 am As a rule these valves only need 'servicing' when they are leaking and shouldn't be toyed with. I ditto the post above that you have reassembled it wrong. Try again and if you cant fix it replace it, its something you can do yourself IF you are reasonably competent Arfur Re: caroma quietflush inlet valve problems 4Feb 13, 2011 6:14 pm Thank you for the replies. I ended up replacing the inlet valve with the fix-a-loo version and it works great. I would have thought the Caroma inlet valve should have lasted longer than it did before it required repairs of replacement. Ive found the Caroma ones virtually fool proof and dont need touching for many years Arfur Good luck with it.
