I had a handyman erect a garden shed for me and he laid a slab which is a bit bigger than the actual shed. Now when it rains the rain lands on the bit of extra slab and flows under the walls of the shed inside. Can someone suggest the best way to waterproof the gap between slab and shed? THanks a lot. The slab is actually a foot wider than the shed on one side and about 3 inches on the others. It would take some grinding to angle it away but I guess with perseverence I could on the 3 inch sides. Then use a self levelling compound inside the shed floor - looks schmik and covers up the sealant! Water this close to the slab edge or under the slab can cause slab heave or subsidence and is potentially a serious problem especially on highly reactive clay soils.
