One of the tubes has got burnt at one end and one of the prongs has got stuck in the slot. My first reaction was to get a screw driver and try to unscrew it out but i'm not sure if that's safe? Or would it require a whole new light fitting? I'm not sure why it happened as the tubes are only a few months old and only get used at night for a short time.

New fitting, another 10 or so years of light out of it.
