Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Sep 06, 2010 9:47 am Hi There I am just wondering whether to replace the sink in my home before moving into it OR cleaning it. It looks very brown and abit dirty when I look down the plug hole and I am unsure of what to buy for it if I decide to clean it in oppose to replacing it. The external of the sink looks fine and the house is relatively new so I would prefer to clean it if I could find the right thing to do the job. Any suggestions/ideas would be very much appreciated. Thankyou Re: What to use cleaning down the sink 2Sep 06, 2010 3:10 pm Try "Draino" for the pipes. Use carefully as it is toxic and has strong odour. Re: What to use cleaning down the sink 4Sep 06, 2010 9:42 pm Moflo works even better than draino but is HIGHLY dangerous and I think only Plumbers are able to buy it Stick to Draino or Caustic soda but FOLLOW the instructions to the letter I went outside once. To clean the inside of the drain I just pour some bleach down and let it sit for a bit, gets rid of all the mould.
