Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Jul 03, 2010 3:02 pm I recently bought a five acre property near manjimup wa, I have a 45,000 litre rain water tank which is pumped to the house via a davey xp500h pressure pump, all has been well until today, the pump has stopped pumping water, if I turn the power off and then back on , the pump operates for about 2 seconds then switches off, there is a yellow button and instructions on the pump, I have followed the instructions by holding the button in for 15 seconds and then releasing the button and the pump operates for about 2 seconds and then turns off, because the rain water tank is low, like about 5 inches of water on the bottom , it is possible that the pump may have sucked air, if that is possible, I have had no previous experience with pressure pumps. I hope someone can help me with this problem, this is also my first post on this forum I had a similar issue with my fridge not too long ago.
