Hi all,
I have a BOSS BOL4 garage door opener installed. It is used very rarely (apx 1-2 times per week). During its 3 years of use its circuit-board died after 2 years (it was just suddenly doing nothing at all) and now after a year more, the repairer advising me to replace the whole board again, because the light stopped working.
This time the door itself still works, but with the light not working the experts say the whole board will die soon.
I have checked out the light socket and the bulb. They work fine if tested outside the opener, but from the opener no power is coming.
Since the circuit board is too expensive to get it replaced in every 1-2 years I was wondering if anyone can suggest any other option.
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF IT'S POSSIBLE TO REPLACE THE LIGHT-RELAY ONLY ON THIS BOARd? IF SO, WHAT TYPE OF RELAY DOES GO INTO THIS THING? and perhaps how much a relay can cost.
Thanks in advance
G
