Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Mar 30, 2010 2:42 pm Hello, was wondering if anyone knows what a particular type of drain is called. It was common years ago but not so much now I think. It is concrete in a hexangonal shape and is about a foot high or so. The downpipes come down into it or it has a round metal grill plate and it is up against the house. I have one that is falling apart and that I want to fix but I don't know the name to be able to google for ideas. Trying to google for what it might be called was frustrating. Cheers Re: repairing a drain 2Mar 30, 2010 6:33 pm I think its a downpipe trap (gully trap) http://www.plumbcrete.com.au/plumbingpr ... crete.html not sure where to find an old one. I just found out today the certifier has not given the final sign off. 2 4090 Grab a hose, insert it at the top of the inlet/down pipe and turn the water on and see where the water is escaping from. Then you'll know. 3 8465 |
