Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Feb 01, 2010 12:23 pm My floor (which is chipboard all the way through to my knowledge) is currently slightly dipping underneath both the kitchen sink and the bathroom. It is enough that a couple of the smaller floating floorboard boards have come off at the edges in the kitchen, and for the bathroom floor tiles to feel slightly loose as you walk on them. You can also see the dip visually in the kitchen and the kitchen cupboard draws were also very stiff for a few weeks after having a party where there were a few people in the room at the one time. Currently there is no floor access in the place, so that will be the first thing that needs doing. I guess I just need some direction as far as how I should tackle the problem and who I should be calling to have the work done (chippy, builder?). I'm not much of a handyman so will be paying somebody for the work. I am eventually going to be putting in floating floorboards through half of the house, so should I just get somebody in now to do the whole lot at once? Any help would be appreciated!
